Major Components of Work: Demolition of existing concrete spillway and construction of a new labyrinth weir structural concrete spillway with a new slide gate. Excavation included 27,000 CY of common and 15,000 CY of rock excavation and blasting. New spillway included 6,600 CY of cast-in-place structural concrete. Other components included foundation preparation, drains, grouted anchor bars, dewatering/unwatering, rock bolts, 2 prefabricated steel bridges, cofferdam design and construction, road construction, and onsite concrete batching. Johnson-Wilson Constructors, Inc. self-performed 90% of the work while subcontracting 10%.
